April/May: I'm one of the judges for the 2024 "It's All Write!" Teen Writing Contest at the Ann Arbor District Library, MI

March 6th, 7pm: I'll be speaking on a virtual panel for nErD Camp PA about Sports in YA Literature/the Role of Sports in Teens' Lives.
March 18th, 4:30pm: I'm speaking on a panel at the Michigan Reading Association's Annual Conference in Grand Rapids, MI.
April 29th: I'll be teaching two classes at the Michigan Writing Workshop in Livonia, MI.
May 5th: I'll be speaking on the Social Work Authors Panel: Social Workers as Storytellers at the 2023 NASW-MI Annual Conference in Kalamazoo, MI.
July 1st: 10-12pm, NASW-MI regional event, Social Work Author Panel, Franklin, MI.
Sept.23, 10am-noon, Berkley Public Library: I'll be teaching an in-person Creative Writing Workshop for Social Workers in partnership with NASW-MI. This workshop will review and build upon my Lunch and Learn webinar from last fall and provide an opportunity for in-class writing and sharing. From journaling to narrative medicine to poetry therapy, creative writing and storytelling promotes growth and healing. This workshop provides an opportunity for social workers and other helping professionals to learn about the craft of writing and how it can be utilized in practice and in reflective self-care.
